Jenny Jorgensen-Kuphal, MA, RPT, LPCC
Jenny Jorgensen-Kuphal is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with advanced training in play therapy and a strong commitment to supporting children, families, and adults through meaningful, growth-oriented work. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Psychology, as well as a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. She has also completed specialized training in play therapy, earned a Play Therapy Certificate, and received training in Theraplay, which supports her attachment-focused therapeutic approach.
Over the course of her career, Jenny has worked in residential treatment, in-home child and family therapy, the Minnesota Autism Center, and private practice. While each setting has shaped her clinical perspective, private practice has become her favorite space to support clients due to the deep, collaborative relationships it fosters.
Jenny works with children ages 6 and up, supporting concerns such as anxiety, anger, trauma, and behavior regulation. She has a passion for helping families strengthen their relationships, increase connection, and thrive together. Jenny also works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She approaches therapy with the belief that the client is the true agent of change—her role is simply to serve as a compassionate guide throughout the process.
She loves witnessing growth, healing, and transformation, and considers it an honor to walk alongside clients as they create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

Coming February 2026
Therapy is a space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. I believe healing happens when we are met with compassion, safety, and respect for our whole selves — mind, body, and spirit.I work with children, adults, families, and couples who may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in patterns that no longer serve them. With advanced training in play therapy, I provide developmentally appropriate approaches that help children express themselves beyond words. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relational challenges, or behavioral concerns, and are seeking a space that is supportive, gentle, and nonjudgmental.I am a graduate-level therapist working toward licensure, practicing under the clinical supervision of Gia Plate, MS, LMFT, and Brenda Oja, MA, LPCC. This ensures that my work remains thoughtful, ethical, and high-quality.My approach is integrative and holistic, drawing from evidence-based therapeutic practices while honoring the nervous system, the body, and each person’s unique story. I strive to create a grounded and nurturing environment where clients feel held, heard, and empowered to grow at their own pace. When working with children, I incorporate developmentally appropriate and play-based interventions that allow for expression beyond words. When appropriate and aligned with client goals, I may integrate sound-based and mindfulness practices to support relaxation, regulation, and present-moment awareness. These practices are offered as a complementary support within therapy and are always client-led, trauma-informed, and grounded in safety and consent. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about reconnecting with inner wisdom, resilience, and grace. Therapy is a collaborative process — one that makes room for curiosity, self-compassion, and meaningful change over time.
Daniel Borkenhagen, MA, M.Div, LPC
My goal is to help you think about yourself in terms of body, mind, and soul and how these can be part of your solution. My background includes 16 years as a pastor working with children, youth, and adults and five years specifically working with seniors. I have loved these positions, but I felt that I was being called to pursue additional expertise in counseling, especially after working through my struggles with addiction and finding a path to recovery that involved counseling and 12-step work. I am specifically interested in helping people work through struggles with depression, anxiety, grief, caregiving, marital/relationship problems, and addiction, and I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors. I will build a cooperative relationship with you, help you find your strengths, ask the right questions, and help you challenge thoughts and patterns from your past and present that are undermining your mental health. My therapeutic approach includes elements of systems and cognitive behavioral theories, but I’m always looking at each individual and tailoring my approach to them. I look forward to supporting you on your path to whole-person health.
